Sony has cut the price of the PlayStation 4 to $350 in the US, effective tomorrow, October 9th. The previous price was $400, which has held steady since the console’s launch in late 2013. The move follows last month’s similar price cut for Sony’s home market of Japan, and brings pricing in line with the 500GB model of the Xbox One. The new price in Canada will be $430, down from $450.
Sony is also going into the holiday season with an array of bundles: among others, a 500GB PS4 with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will go for $350 on October 9th, a Call of Duty: Black Ops III 1TB bundle will cost $430 on November 6th, and Star Wars: Battlefront sets will cost $350 with a regular 500GB PS4 or $50 more for a limited edition model on November 17th.
