A new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight was released this morning, and it introduces a new feature called “Dual Play,” which will allow players to switch back and forth between heroes during combat, GTA V-style.
The latest teaser for Batman: Akrham Knight, as well as showcasing some of Gotham’s most notorious villains, such as Two-Face and Scarecrow, also reveals two Batman sidekicks for the first time. Both Nightwing, Robin, and Catwoman can be seen fighting alongside the Dark Knight, at times performing tag-team manoeuvres.
Rocksteady is calling the new feature “Dual Play,” which will allow players to switch back and forth between heroes during combat. It’s a fitting addition, since the trailer makes clear that Bruce will need all the help he can get. This sounds similar to how Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V allows players to freely switch between the game’s three main characters.
Even more exciting is that those who pre-order the game will be able to play as the Joker’s beau, Harley Quinn, a first in the franchise. Curiously, the one character teased over the previous few days, Azrael, doesn’t make a big appearance in the new trailer.[embedyt]https://youtu.be/CINA288fZUs[/embedyt]
The Arkham Knight, a seemingly militarized doppelgänger of the Dark Knight, has arisen in Gotham City, and the threat he poses is bigger than anything that’s come before. Originally intended to be released in 2014, Batman Arkham Knight’s release date has been delayed again, this time to June 23. The game is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
